Clients we work with

A Meta ads agency that buys customers, not reach.
Facebook ads can reach about 27.9 million people in South Africa, and Instagram about 8.6 million, according to DataReportal’s Digital 2026 report. Done properly, Meta ads put your product in front of the people most likely to buy it, before they start searching. Done poorly, they buy likes, cheap clicks and nothing else.
The difference is tracking, creative and testing: a pixel and Conversions API that report real sales, new ads tested every week, audiences that exclude people who already bought, and budget moved to what sells. That is the work you hire a Meta ads agency for. Our guide to Meta ads in South Africa explains each part.
Alongside Google Ads for people who already search and email marketing for repeat sales, Meta ads become the demand engine in a complete growth system.
Six parts of Meta ads working as one system.
The right mix depends on what you sell and to whom. We choose and set up each part around your goal — sales, leads or WhatsApp chats.
Sales Campaigns
For online stores: Advantage+ sales campaigns find buyers across Facebook, Instagram and Messenger, using your real purchase data. Powerful with clean tracking, wasteful without.
Catalogue Ads
Your Shopify or WooCommerce product feed, connected to Meta. People see the exact products they viewed, with live prices in rand.
Lead Ads
Instant forms inside Facebook and Instagram, sent to your inbox or CRM the same minute. See our guide to Facebook lead ads.
Retargeting
Most visitors do not buy on the first visit. Retargeting brings back people who viewed a product or left a cart, at a fraction of the cost of a new customer.
Click-to-WhatsApp Ads
The ad opens a WhatsApp chat with your business. Good for services and high-ticket products, where people want to ask a question before they buy.
Pixel & Conversions API
We set up and test the Meta pixel and the Conversions API, so Meta receives your real purchases and leads — not page views counted as results.
One flat fee. Agreed before we start.
Your management fee and your ad budget are two separate things. The fee is fixed upfront, sized to the work, and it does not grow when your spend does.
Not a percentage of your spend. We do not earn more when your budget goes up. More complex setups — several campaigns, a large catalogue, lead ads into a CRM — carry a higher fee, agreed before any work starts.
Best fit: businesses spending R5,000 or more a month on ads. Smaller budget? Tell us, and we will tell you straight whether Meta ads make sense yet. Our guide to Meta ads costs in South Africa shows what clicks and impressions cost.
The R7,000 starting fee depends on account complexity and setup requirements. T&Cs apply.
What the fee covers
- Account, pixel and tracking audit
- Pixel and Conversions API set up and tested — not assumed
- Campaign structure, audiences and exclusions
- Ad copy written and ads built from your photos and videos
- New ads tested every week, with clear stop and scale rules
- Catalogue set up and kept clean, where it applies
- Monthly reporting in plain language, checked against your real sales
Your ad spend goes straight to Meta, on your own card, in your own ad account. We never touch it and we never mark it up.
From first look to scaled, profitable campaigns.
A four-phase process: tracking first, then weekly tests, then budget moved to what sells.
Audit & tracking
Audit the account, or start fresh. Fix the pixel and the Conversions API, and agree what a sale or a lead is worth to you.
Build & launch
Campaigns, audiences and exclusions, the first set of ads, and retargeting — built, checked and launched with clean tracking.
Test & optimise
New ads tested every week against the best ones. Cost per sale and return on ad spend checked daily. Budget moves to what works.
Scale winners
Winning campaigns get more budget in steps, new audiences add reach, and the big sales dates, such as Black Friday, are planned months ahead.
When Meta ads are the wrong call.
We would rather tell you now than take three months of fees to find out together.
Meta ads usually work when…
- People buy your product when they see it, not only when they search
- You have product photos or videos, or can make them
- Your order value or customer value can carry the cost of a sale
- Your website or WhatsApp can take an order or an enquiry the same day
- You can fund a steady budget for at least three months
We will tell you not to spend when…
- Your website cannot track a sale or a lead yet
- People only look for you in an emergency — Google Ads is the better tool for that
- The margin cannot carry the cost of a sale in your market
- The budget only stretches to a few weeks; the account never learns
- The offer is not clear yet, so no ad can sell it
If the audit says Meta ads are not your best next rand, that is what the audit will say.
Why SA businesses choose a founder-led Meta ads specialist.
What separates this from agencies who boost posts and send a likes report.
Flat fee, not a share of your spend
Most agencies charge a percentage of ad spend, so they earn more when you spend more, whatever the result. We charge a flat monthly fee. Our incentive is your return, not your budget.
Founder-led. You deal with me.
Every account is run by Dirk van Greuning — your Meta ads specialist, not an account manager. Dirk has more than 10 years’ experience, and built and scaled an SA ecommerce business on paid ads before starting Growth Pulse Media. No junior learning on your money, and no hand-offs.
SA market, not a template
Rand pricing, Payfast and Shopify checkouts, courier costs, WhatsApp chats and the South African sales calendar — the details overseas agencies get wrong.
You own the account
The ad account, the pixel and your audiences stay in your own Business portfolio, billed to your card. Every change and every rand is visible to you — and it all stays yours if you leave.
Tracking verified, not assumed
Most accounts we take over count page views or link clicks as results. We test the pixel and the Conversions API before we spend a rand of your budget, because every decision after that depends on them.
Connected to everything else
What sells on Meta tells Google Ads and SEO what to push, and tells email what to send next. We run paid social as part of a system, not as a channel that chases likes.
Questions people ask before they start.
How long have you been doing this?
Dirk has worked in digital marketing since 2016, which is more than 10 years. Growth Pulse Media is the company he runs that work through today. Clients rate us 5.0 on Google, and you can read the reviews before you contact us.
What budget do I need for Meta ads?
There is no fixed number. Meta’s system learns fastest when an ad set gets about 50 results a week, so the budget must be large enough to buy that many sales or leads at your cost per result. A low-cost product with a clear offer can start small; a high-ticket product needs more.
Tell us your budget upfront. We will show you what it can realistically buy. Our guide to Facebook ads budgets in South Africa shows how to work it out.
Who owns the ad account, the pixel and the audiences?
You do. The ad account, the pixel and your custom audiences stay in your own Meta Business portfolio, billed to your card. We work on them as a partner with the access you give us.
If you stop working with us, you remove our access. The account history, the pixel data and the audiences all stay with you.
Is the fee flat, or a percentage of ad spend?
Flat. Management starts at R7,000 per month, the fee is agreed upfront, and it is not linked to what you spend on ads — so we do not earn more by pushing your budget up.
The fee depends on the work: one sales campaign for one store takes less to run than several campaigns, a large catalogue and lead ads. You get the final number on your first call or audit, before any work starts.
How quickly will I see results?
Ads can run within a day of approval. Each new ad set then goes through a learning phase while Meta finds the right people, which usually takes one to two weeks.
Plan on four to eight weeks before the numbers are reliable enough to scale. Anyone promising a fixed return in week one is guessing.
Do you make the ads?
Yes. We write the copy and build the ads — images, carousels and short videos — from your product photos, videos and content. If new photos or videos would help, we tell you exactly what to shoot.
We test new ads every week, because on Meta the creative decides most of the result.
Can you take over my existing Meta ads account?
Yes. We start with an audit of your campaigns, audiences, ads and tracking. We keep what works, because the pixel history and the winning ads are valuable, and we fix or stop what does not.
What do you need from me for the audit?
View-only partner access to your ad account through your Meta Business portfolio. With view-only access we can see your campaigns, results and spend. We cannot change an ad, a budget or your payment details.
Before you grant anything, we will already have looked at your live ads in the Meta Ad Library and at the pages they send people to.
Should I run Meta ads or Google Ads?
They do different jobs. Google Ads reaches people who already search for what you sell. Meta ads put your product in front of people who are likely to want it but are not searching yet.
Products that people buy on sight, such as fashion, décor, gifts and gadgets, usually do well on Meta. Urgent services, such as a plumber or a locksmith, usually do better on Google.
Do you just boost posts?
No. A boosted post is optimised for likes and comments, not for sales. We build campaigns in Ads Manager, with the pixel and the Conversions API sending your real sales and leads back to Meta, so the system finds buyers, not scrollers.
Tell us what isn’t selling. Or what you want to start.
Three short questions, about a minute. Running ads already? The audit needs view-only access — we can look, and that is all. New to Meta ads? We will tell you honestly whether they fit and where to start. Either way it is free, and you keep what we find.
